Caballero-Somsak Photo Gallery!

Hard-hitting, Celestino Caballero dethroned Somsak Sithchatchawal by technical knockout, flooring him three times in the third round in Thailand Wednesday to claim the WBA super bantamweight title. The 30-year-old Caballero (25-2, 18 KOs) is incredibly tall by super bantamweight standards, standing nearly 6’2. He is co-promoted by Sycuan Ringside Promotions and Seminole Warriors Boxing. Interim champ Celestino Caballero (25-2, 18 KOs) shocked the Thai crowd as he destroyed Somsak Sithchatchawal (46-2-1, 37 KOs) to unify the WBA super bantamweight title on Wednesday at Wat Banrai in Nakornrachasima Province, Thailand.

The bout was a close affair in the first two rounds but in round three, the Panamanian landed an accurate uppercut that dropped the local hero, then he wildly stalked the now former champion and successfully floored Somsak twice more, forcing the referee to stop the bout in this round.

This was a huge upset of Somsak, who had impressively captured the WBA belt from Mahyar Monshipour earlier this year in France but then unexpectly lost the title in his hometown in his first defense.

A crowd of 5,000 was on hand to see the bout, which took place in a remote corner of the country to honor an ailing 83-year-old monk whom many Thais believe has healing powers.

more pics.

You’ll say anything to get peoples minds off Baldi-Zab

Wow, that guy is friggin massive. I would’ve chosen him to win even without seeing the records and experience of the two fighters. That guy just looks huge.

6’ 2" for a Super Bantamweight when on avg. a Bantamweight is between 5’ 5" thru about 5’ 8"

That wasn’t an upset. Zab coming to the weigh in overweight was all the evidence you needed.

No hunny bun thats just an excuse.

Not as big an upset as Rubio or Leija over Bojado

So thats it thats all you got.
Please… Same thing over and over with you.

You also forgot to mention the ‘World Promotional Tour’ that Don had him doing, and also he had lost a diamond earing a few days prior to the fight and that he was having personal issues cause he didn’t like the way he looked in the little bit*h (ooopppss!) I mean little kim video. Please ::**
Hes ‘suppose’ to be a vet. of the sport and a profesional if he put as much energy on his boxing like he does on running his mouth and his life outside of the sport hed be doing something right now as far as boxing goes.
But hes not cause guess where hes at?

Go click it!!!

Yeah!! hes at the club, trying to do his thang with Williams.
What a waste of talent. :frowning:

So you’re saying that Zab had an excuse when Bojado had none he was just lazy. And then you’re saying Zab was hanging with Serena Williams while Bojado is with MMA’ers talking about a rematch you don’t believe.

Whats your point here?

Your comments make no sense, what so ever.
Bojado got involved with the MMA after the fact not before.
Why must you make up things.
And you’re right I don’t believe Bojado can come back and make a difference in boxing. I just don’t but at least I keep it real with myself you you’re just full of make believe fairy tails and *facts & lies that you come up with.
Funny how YOU keep comparing Bojado to Zab when I myself being a Bojado fan feel Zab is far more talented than Bojado and wouldn’t compare them, but if you insist on doing a comparison thats fine with me.

*facts according to you, now go hide for another 20-30 min. then come back and reply the same thing that you’ve type over & over & over & over.

Big shock to me too and I’m on the case, although it’ll be diffcult to find!

Thats what people said about the Valero fight
and look at how fast you go that.
You can do it.

Having just scored 85 plus in the_one’s self esteem test ,I feelllll goooooooddddd 8) ;D Dam right I’ll find it! Although I doubt this is as wanted as Valero’s fight.Anyone know here it was televised?

Apparently they fought in this really poor region in North Thailand at an old buddhist temple. Apparently the crowd was just local farmers, literally cows were walking around outside the arena, and there are pretty much just dirt roads coming in and out of the area.

So Game when you gonna get it uploaded ;D

Damn!! you OumaFan were suppose to encourage him not disencourage him >:mad

El Gamo don’t listen to him you can do it. 8)

it sounds like a good fight.

;D

Its possible, I just think it might take a while, even the Valero fight took a while.

I’m keeping an eye out for it too on this one site I go too.

Edit: Some promising news, supposed to be rebroadcast on Japanese TV sometimes this weekend, may not be, but supposedly it is so there’s a better chance of it getting out if it does.
