I personally think that this is easy work for Floyd, as he’s more than capable of boxing circles around Baldi to win by wide UD. But it could get interesting if Floyd’s brittle hands get damaged against Baldi’s hard head, and Baldi’s able to rough him up on the inside a bit…
This fight is called ‘Pretty Risky’, but I reckon that the key area where this is really pretty risky in terms of Floyd’s PPV marketability. Baldi is the true champ at 147 but has no significant fanbase of his own (unlike Gatti and Judah). So, Floyd is going into a PPV where he has to bring ALL the fans to the table, both in terms of the gate and the PPV numbers. If this fight doens’t do decent PPV numbers, it’s hardly gonna set him up for negotiating a fight with Oscar…
