CC back.I think the last round was hard to score as neither did much and I wish Winky HAD done something,he would have won the fight and as a challenger for the title,one should want to finish strongly!
Winky did more then J-BIT did in the 12th round. As Winky said “If I didn’t do nothin then he didn’t do nothin so I don’t know how they gave it to him.”
True,and if anything,they should have at least called the last round a draw,what would have been the problem there? I’m just saying that Winky as the challenger should have finished off the fight more convincingly.It may have let a lasting impression on the judges. I know if I(and I’m guessing most of you too)were a challenger,i’d finish the last round as strongly as possible.
Wots the situation with scoring rounds even in world title fights, I am sure I have heard that judges are not supposed to do that?
lol a draw? watched it last night, he landed about 1 MAYBE 2 clean punches, winky clearly won the last round.
I’m not sure that they are not allowed to do that,more that they do not want to but I feel in some cases,it is necessary otherwise you are giving the round to a fighter who clearly did not win the round!IE round 12!
If ever there was a round that somebody did not deserve to win, that was it!!
Thing is, Winky won the round more convincingly then did Taylor! Just as Hopkins won the round more convincingly against Taylor. Hopkins outslugged him in the 12th and RONALD WINKY WRIGHT outboxed him!! But you just can’t win the 12th round against Jermain Taylor ::** I’m sure if you knock it down theymake it 9-9
Well, you probably can’t win the 12th if don’t fight for the entire round.
I was watching the 12th round thinking “What the fuck is Winky doing?” He would throw like one punch and then dance, I wasn’t used to that style from him. I thought JT won that round because of that vicious flurry he threw midway that looked like it had Winky hurt a bit. Winky said “If I didn’t do anything, then he didn’t do anything. I don’t understand how they gave him that round” or something to that effect. It sounds like Winky knew that he didn’t do much, but is mad because JT got points when they both didn’t do a whole lot. Well, Winky, JT is the champ!!! You have to fight to take away his belts and you can’t be mad because two of the judges chose Jermain’s championship over your star power. Winky should have fought like he did in the 11th (a round I gave to Winky) and taken the titles. He has no right to be mad.
