These guys are still at the top of the division in my eyes. Vargas and Mosley always come to fight how could they not put on a good show? I think Vargas has every chance at winning this.

fernando is still young, and if he wins this i feel he is once again a premier fighter (not to mention that a vargas victory would instantly make the 154lb divison a solid weight class)
if mosely pulls this out, then i feel that he is a sitting duck with the belts. he will be champ for a little while, then some young, undeserving prospect will ko a washed up, past his prime mosely (unless its floyd that takes him down ;))

it is so ridiculous, that im just gonna let the concept of shane “power boxing” at 154 roll right off my back…there CANT be any truth to it
i dont think theres too many fighters that can power box fernando at 154
btw…weve been agreeing on stuff all day ( i already cc’d you earlier…you just might not know it ;))
vargas looks/fights very old for his age though. and re the 154 division–mosely’s not the only one leaving the division immediately after the fight: vargas says regardless of who wins, this is his last fight at 154 and then he’s moving to 160. the guy is a natural fat-ass and has serious trouble getting down to 154 (he even tried to blame the first mosely loss on this).

BTW I agree Mosley via decision but Vargas is a warrior man…I remember when he fought Trinidad when tito was in his prime and vargas showed such balls coming back (still losing) but he deserves the check to fight Mosley again just cause he’s not afraid to man up
Vargas was a warrior and just a thread away from being at the top in his prime and imo is a great fighter with great spirit though hes far from what he was
