im not that impressed with the career mode either(although the graphics r cool). also rivalries arent very clear to me, i fought a guy for the second time and didnt know untill the comentater said so. has anyone finished the career yet? does it get better?
I just had one of those so called " Weigh Ins " and it was crap!, i was about 25-2-0 when i had it, fighting my Rival for the Middleweight belt ( who i knocked out in the 1st round for the 3rd time in a row )
And basically all it was, was a very poorly put together little peice of crap, where we were all in our boxing gear… which is dumb, n the guy throws a punch at you and you go into that Kayo mode ( in first person mode, you know ) Well you either parry it or he knocks you out then its over.
If you’ve ever played one of the WWE games, it sort of like that, but even worse. The whole career mode has been turned into a gimmick
I had a few of those wigh ins but i dont like them as much, you can’t do much i would have at least expected a way to hit back but that’s simply not possible.

Im also about 44-2-0 ( 43 kos ) and moved up to light heavy.
Its dumb, there have been no confrences, the whole rival system is dumb, the weigh ins are just pathetic, as are the ring entrances.
Everything about this game yells out “Half Arsed” its fucking crap tbh, the gameplay is OK at best, but they were going on like the career mode was 10X better, when its got worse at best.

I like the game but I think they should make career mode more of an rpg and a chance to go to the Olympics, I would also like entrances where the fighter is in the ring and then the ring announcers announce the fighters. and why only one commentater? I dig fighting on ESPN Friday Night fights etc(but where’s Teddy) When you get big enough you should be able to fight on HBO or Showtime with those announcers and fight breakdowns, with real press conferences that decide what you’re going to say like an RPG. THey could also put press conferences online where with the headset you can actually talk trash and type in or select different options with your online opponent. And they should have a speedbag minigame a jumprope mini game and focus pads minigame.

Why cant they just make the ameature the olympics. That would make more sense. I would also like see the alphabet titles in the game. Make that a part of decision making your mandatory challenges.
It love the game, thats because im a boxing fan but little by little Kudo is F’ing it up.
Okay first of all BRING BACK THE RANKINGS! I don’t like this popularity meter crap! It makes it so unrealistic. Second of all the fighters on the press conferences have gloves on… WTF! It would be great if they gave you options like u guys would be sitting down on the press conference and when its your turn to talk, you could have options of saying " this is going to be a great fight" or “ima knock this bumb out” that could stir up rivalry, as stated above olympics would be great, and i hate how they force you to move up in weight! and what happend with the custom entrances? Also i knock out my RIVAL 3 times in the 1st round, and about to fight him for the 4rth time! I could go on and on, I love this game but i would love it to be more realistic, if only 2k sports would give EA some competition!
