Jai does not do enough speaking to the press. He needs more of a media presence if he can. But, it may not be his personality and that’s cool. Then he needs a trainer or someone in his camp who can make some noise for him- like Devin Haney’s father does for him. Kinda like a wrasslin’ manager in the likeness of Paul Heyman or Bobby Heenan.
“Benavidez” with an . Guess it comes as no surprise but I’m going to need to take a pass on the what about Jai violin pity party . It’s sort of gone by the wayside that he and zuffa have been the ones mute on Benavidez and just watching the talks of leaving the division likely to face the ghost of Wilder on the AJ v Fury undercard at hvy. Fat Dan is now reporting Jai has agreed to do just that.
Have to say, no one…at least David Benavidez…is forgetting to mention poor Jai. He’s mentioned him multiple times matter of fact. Like his presser v Cieslak two days ago he flat named Jai at the literal top of his wish list, Jai, Beterbiev and then possibly Usyk. The man stated that the winner of a Benavidez v Jai fight could then call themselves the king of the division. He also said the same thing weeks ago speaking about a new contract after the Cieslak fight. If anything, I wish he’d stop talking about Jai going into his fight next month as that has always been a pet peeve of mine. Focus on mission at hand and do not read your own headlines. But hey, the man is driven. Dust off Cieslak and let’s see what direction poor Jai actually moves. Because as of now Jai doesn’t say much at all and ol Dana and zuffa are busy talking about Ufc, slap fights and giving away VIP “experiences” with Conor flippin Benn and WWE wrestlers. Let’s see exactly what they say after their card from the UK next weekend. I’m sure with cruiser Chris Billam Smith main event there will be some cruiserweight talk, surely.
