UK and USA Soldiers' reaction to mortar attack

Both under mortar fire the difference in attitude is there for all to see.

Not saying i respect one group of lads more than the other as they are all there to do a job, but the Americans sounded like kids, and praying to their god. Us Brits were laughing and joking about it.

Made me feel a tad proud of the quality of our troops. Makes me further sick that they are treated so badly by our government though.

ss to be a bearer of bad news but there is nothing funny nor laughable about a mortar attack.while obviosly taking it in a lighthearted manner i’m sure the “boys” we’re also “crappin” in their respective drawers.Mortar fire is among the worst to predict where it’s gonna land.you get maybe 3-4 seconds to dive for cover after hearing the whistle and even then it’s no gaurantee.all i can truly say is that our “lads&lasses” both & :usa: deserve all the respect we can give them,unlike other generations that were treated like garbage.NUFF SAID :army:
