this ain’t boxing related…but who do you guys think who’d win…a tiger or lion…ofcourse thier is different types of tiger and lions…but i think a siberian tiger would kill a african lion…
the only arguement i’ve heard that would discourage a tiger from fighting and winning agains a lion is that the male lion has the long fur around its neck…but those fur aren’t gonna soften the tigers bite…the tiger do have the longer fangs…i’ve seen a vid a tiger killing a huge croc…and croc have huge neck and thick rough skins…it only took like 2 minutes to kill the croc…i’ve seen a lion kill a hyena but a tiger would easily would too…
who do you guys think would win…cc to all who replies…and n.e one that can share maybe a vid of tigers and lion fighting or killing…
Good little question, im bang in to my nature programmes and always had the same question lingering in my mind, never seen the two fight, but my money would be on the tiger.
Heres what experts say, they are virtually identical size and weight ad hence it depends on the individual. One expert said a tiger may have slight advantage as hes a loner and has a harder life. Who knows ???
tigers are bigger but not clearly…due to more harsh life tigers are moRe agressive…a lion has a pride and are laid back females do the hunting and the males fight off hyenas and other male lions…its a tough call…but i’ve read expert say back in roman empire times…romans put on shows like this…lion vs. tiger…and more often the bigger stronger more aggressive tiger would win…but some later would die due to injuries…
i think it depends if its a male or female lion a male lion would lose to a tiger cus apparently there lazy and dont fight much but lionesses are meant to be stronger and could beat a lion
tigers are naturally bigger and the japanese have asctually put them in with one another, and it was the tiger who mostly won against the lion.

WTF siberian tigers aren’t clearly bigger… Their average weight is 100-150 pounds more than an african male lion, and they are evidently taller with a 3-4 foot length advantage. That being said lion males are made for fighting, and hunting so they are generally expected to be a siberian tiger more often than not. It’s cousin the now extinct Caspian Tiger is considered the reason there are no tigers in Asia because they wiped out the lions.
Um female lions would get killed in seconds against a male lion hence why there is the male lion is dominant… In nature they don’t go by the same laws as humans if the female is stronger they lead, if the male is stronger he leads, and in this case a male lion might not be able to hunt, but its born to fight.

Anyway, the guy had seen some footage and read a lot of historical reports on fights between the two (occuring in thailand and some other places for entertaining princes or something, as well as accidently at circuses.
Summarising the website, it would seem that on average the male lion had the advantage due its mane, as a tiger would insinctively go for the throat, having nit many encounters with lions in the wild, it wouldn’t know how to adjust. Another factor in the lion’s favour was that it was built for fighting other male lions in fights for conrol of a pride, whereas Tigers are solitary and depend on their own hunting to survive, hence they would prefer to avoid confrontations with other tigers in case of injury.
Tiger’s are slightly bigger than the lion due to a longer body and powerful hind limbs, however a lot of a lion’s weight is in its front half, where it can produce considerable power with its paws as well as it’s mouth. The siberian tiger is the largest tiger, but it would seem not the toughest, they are heavy due to a layer of fat to keep them warm and are less aggressive then some of their foreign relatives.
I haven’t read this website for while and can’t remember exactly where geographically, but it did mention that there was a region somewhere which contained a small group of particularly aggressive tigers which showed (in his words) disturbing ferocity, and these usually had the better of the lions where this prince fella was conducting his fights. Obviously each fight depends on the individual.
