At this point in the game with all that going on for Ricky, I wish that Baldomir was paid more than he was worth to fight Ricky. I am sure by now Ricky’s camp wish they paid Baldomir the extra cash. In the long run Ricky would have received it back. As a Yank (lol) and self proclaimed boxing historian (lol), believe me Baldomir would have been the fight for fans to appreciate this star.
Gatti, at Alantic City, would have set Ricky on fire in the USA in terms of exposure. Gatti fans would love Ricky even more. Especially once Ricky pounded Gatti into next week. In this day and age it’s no longer about the belts… It’s all about the opposition!
Like I stated in another thread, Ricky should give up his belts, move to 147, destroy Cotto, Mayweather, and Antonio. These are the three fights. Ricky would never be forgotten in the sport of boxing amongst the average boxing fan. We of course will never forget the HITMAN!!!
Ricky really needs to fight mayweather before margarito gets in there and takes his head off.
After his next fight id say go with cotto, take his unbeaten record off him, providing malignaggi doesnt beat him which he has a very good chance of doing.
and then take out mayweather after he has just beat the golden boy and it will make sure ricky hatton goes down in the history books as the best british and one of the best fighters of all time.
the only problem with making the Cotto fight is Mr Arum, i dont think he`s milked Miguel enough to risk him in with Ricky. But im certain Rickys people will be looking for a fight with Cotto definatly this year.

I Dont think margarito is better than mayweather or cotto i just fell cotto wouldnt be a tough fight for ricky,cotto has a bad chin,and iv seen mayweather rcoked a few times , Margarito vs hatton would be the 1 i would be most nervous for ricky.
