This was a well deserved draw.

A great fight. That 11th rd is up definitely up for round of the year. I scored the fight for Barrera, 115-114, cuz I scored rd 11, 10-10. But I won’t dispute anyone who claimed it was a draw.

And I thought both guys stock rose off of this performance. Juarez made me want to see more of him. And Barrera just added to his great legacy.

Agreed ;D

Barerra also showed he isn’t ready for Pacquiao yet

never thought he would ever be

think we may have witnessed the end of a fantastic career… still would like to see him end on a nice easy win.

but Rocky is the future great preformance… if im critical i’d have like to see him throw more punches but hes a great new star 8)

barrera cant beat pac no way no how

I did not expect Juarez to give him such a hard fight. It was a damn close fight.

CC boss, i’m right there with you. i’d add though–a fantastic end to a fantastic career. i think he definitely won the fight–though it was very close. i’d like to see juarez in there with pacquiau in the next couple of years.

I agree with McCrory. Juarez is a bit one-paced. He needs to be able to step it up a bit.

As far as Pac goes, if Barrera comes prepared, I reckon he wins. He just needs to be in shape. Pac is still incredibly one-dimensional. Problem might be Barrera’s stamina now. He could struggle with the pace Pac sets.

Juarez has booming power but he needs to learn to be more aggressive, spend more effort on the body and use the jab more. He needs to let his hands go more. MAB CANNOT handle Pacquiao based on that performance. Pacman is crude but what he does,no one does better. I can see MAB hdlding Pacman up for a while but I saw MAB’s stamina decrease slightly,so I could see Pacman steamrolling him later in the fight. However,I will always maintain, the MAB that beat Hamed could beat Pac, as he could fight defensively and go to war.

what do you mean a draw?
It was then later declared that Barrera won right? a split decision

Agreed. I think that MAB can beat Pac the next time out.

i second that…barrera is extremely intelligent as a fighter…pac has his one and only gameplan…

Have to dissagree… manny Pac by tko most likely even quicker

i wouldn’t be sad to see Barrera hang them up now on a win and look back on a great pro career streaching over 18 year :o i think 8)

I had it six rounds a piece…I hope MAB is man enough to give Rocky a rematch

I honestly think this would be a great time for Barrera to retire.

How the hell can you say you hope he is ‘man enough’ ?? are you new to this guy? And do you honestly think MAB should give him a rematch? it was his tittle, he defended it, he won the fight, why the hell would he want to give the guy another shot?

Hes got 1 MAYBE 2 fights left in him at this level, if he carrys on he will want to get one back on pacman or go out by finishing of morales

come on, think before you post for god sake

Naaa,no way Juarez gets a rematch seeing as he was lucky to get the shot in the first place,he had done nothing to earn one and he performed well, has made a name for himself but coupled with the fact that MAB only has a few fights left,no way!

preme, take your self righteous attitude and kiss my $$…MAB’s “victory” is very suspect…they declare it a draw then come back and change it…If he is the great mexican warrior then he shouldn’t want such a cloud of controversey over his win and fight Rocky again. Regardless of the scoring of the fight MAB was much worse for the wear at the end of that fight.

You’re just a hater. First, they didn’t “change” anything–they just did the addition wrong the first time. No one went back and changed their scoring. He won the fight and they basically announced it wrong at first.

Second, give me a break on the “if he is the great mexican warrior” nonsense. This was preme’s whole point, as I took it: the man has proven his pedigree over 60+ fights against the best. He’s been in plenty of wars and hasn’t backed down. Juarez didn’t do shit to earn the shot in the first place–Barrera gave him a break. And Juarez took advantage of it and looked good. He lost (and he did lose) a very close fight against a legend–it definitely helps him career-wise regardless of whether he gets a rematch.

Third, yes Barrera looked worse at the end of the fight. But as another poster put it, this was a boxing match, not a street fight, so you have to score rounds. You don’t get to the end of a fight and just declare the less bloody guy to be winner. Then B-Hop would have won the first Taylor fight (ok, bad example). ;D

All I got to say is Grizzly Adams DID have a beard. >:mad
And I thought a draw was fair.
