Yeah hes nearly unbeatable on clay apparently. Oh hewitt use to have fighting spirit…then he got married and had a kid. He used to scream and shout during matches, showing some passion and now he does nothing. I liked the old hewitt better…at least he was winning matches but Nadal is like you said…an absolute machine especially on clay.

He aint that far behind Sampras and has achieved much more than Sampras did at 24. If he wins the French this sunday i am very confident he will be the first player in over 30 years to win all 4 slams in a calender year, this guy has won the World Sportsman of the year for 2 years running, thats how good he is, prime for prime Federer murders Sampras for me. Sampras never dominated like Federer, Federer has been in the final of the last 13 events he entered, Sampras on average would win 1 in 4 events, federer wins almost every week other than Clay.
Sampras has a hard GS record to beat due to his dominanace at Winbledon, which Federer is now emulating, Sampras also was No.1 5 years on the run which was also impressive, i think Federer takes both these records before he is finished, Federer 7 GS to Sampras 14. i expect that to be 9 or even 10 by the end of the year.
