Rahman-Maskaev August 12!

From Fightnews.com

WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman is in Miami, Oklahoma to do commentary on tonight’s ESPN2 card featuring heavyweights Jameel McCline vs Rob Calloway. On the telecast, The Rock is expected to announce that his next title defense against Oleg Maskaev will take place on August 12 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

I’ll probably have an ealry night that night ::**

;D

hahahaha wouldnt be surprised if rahman falls through the ropes again

In all honesty, I would. Sure Rahman got KTFO in the first fight, but since then he has done pretty well and obviously he wasn’t conditioned to go 12 rounds in that first fight.. Maskaev on the other hand has been KTFO by Kirk Johnson, Lance"mount"Whittaker, and Corey(Not Corrie)Sanders… And he is now 37 or 38.. I mean Rahman sucks but if he can’t pull this one off by KO then it’s worse than anyone thought.. If Maskaev actually wins, well.. We all know Wlad is the best now anyways but it would still be sad.

Sadly I think Rahman will lose. Just a feeling. Nothing personal.

Yeat i cant really wait for that right how Rahman will destroy Maskaev ,n the re-macht . . . :beat:

Man at the first fight Rahman was out pointing Maskaev and got a lucky punch ! ! ! Everybody knows that who watch the fight very well ! ! !

And dont forget that Maskarv its not a joke number too . . . I must say really godo work for Maskaev how he came to this title fight and he beat bravely Samil Sam by UD . . . I wish to see Samil Sam VS Rahman but we will not see it yet . . . :-\

Dont worry Rahman is not stupid like that to lose to Maskaev again ! ! ! If Rahman will lose to Maskaev i will leave boxing sport . . . Am very sure that he will destroy Maskaev . . .

Maskaev did not get a “lucky punch”… Rahman was gassed out leaning back against the ropes like a sack of potatoes, then suddenly leaned and stepped forward.. I think I could have a good shot to knock him out in that situation… Maskaev had all the time in the world to put everything he had into that shot and he did, nothing lucky about it, just because he was behind on points.. It was only the 8th round..

Rahman was out poiting Maskaev and was in front thats all . . . From where we can see who is the boss in ring the same at Rahman VS Tua 1 too ! ! ! Rahman was controling always the fights with his jabs . . .

Rahman lost 3 times from 1 lucky punch from Maskaev 1 wild stoppage from Tua and 1 times destroyed from Lewis by a %100 powerfull KO . . .

No… Rahman got KTFO twice because he wasn’t conditioned to go 12 rounds at a steady pace… and KTFO badly another time because he wasn in the ring with a fighter leagues above him in Lennox Lewis.

The Tua and Lewis is agreed but the Maskaev was not fair because when he fly out of the ring even the computers fall on his body and some1 throw a chair and u think he cant stand up and go quickly back to the ring ? ? ? If it was Roy Jones Jr he would be dead . . . :lolhaha:

IT’S REMATCH!!!

the T goes before the CH…TCH…remaTCH…and why is it hyphonated??? And of course you use your calling card :beat: … :beat: :beat: :beat:

Oh and FYI, if you’re knocked out of the ring and hit the floor I believe that counts as a TKO…I’m not exactly sure but I think that’s the case.

You gotta be shattin me?

Rahman…you need to saddle up with Sal because you are both in denial regarding your favorite fighters & their losses.

That was the most legit ass whoopin that I have ever seen…you boy crumpled up like a cup cake & got his ass blown outta the ring like a true chUmpion! ;D

BANG BANG, AH WELCOME TO THE CHINA CLUB!!!

;D

This could make for an interesting match-up. Maskaev looked good in his last bout and both of these guys have similiar styles.

Yeah and Rahman couldn’t even wobble James Toney…the guy is a life sized WEEBLE!

I found this quote " rather fight Ruiz myself than look at another of his bouts. At least he’d knock me unconscious so I wouldn’t have to remember anything I saw.

Even that debacle was more entertaining than Rahman’s recent draw with James Toney. Once a middleweight champ at 160 pounds, Toney apparently hired Kirstie Alley as his trainer, battling Rahman at a flabbergasting 237. (He’s 5’9".) We haven’t seen boobs bounce like that on HBO since “G-String Divas.” Rahman’s body punches practically disappeared into Toney’s blubbery stomach, like he was the matrix or something. For a while, HBO’s Jim Lampley gamely pretended Toney was carrying the extra weight for a competitive advantage. But he gave up the charade when a gasping Toney sagged against the ropes in the later rounds, then revealed in Round 12: “Those close to Toney say he has an eating disorder; the man cannot stop eating.”

Thanks for warning us, Jimbo. You owe me an hour of my life back. But what does it say about Rahman, who couldn’t knock out an obese dude? This fight would have been a complete waste of time if Toney hadn’t tried to eat Larry Merchant in the postfight interview." - Bill Simmons ESPN.com page 2

watch the fight and you probably will :lickish:
