It’s interesting that Keyshawn Davis and Mercado, two excellent prospects from the same amateur class, have taken such different professional paths. Keyshawn Davis is now a bona fide contender. Where as Mercado is only known to the boxing nerds. For me ? Mercado doesn’t impress me as much as Davis but this boxing and there have many great fighterss who probably would not pass the eye test (Hopkins, Ward)
keyshawn has his recent win over contender gustavo lemos, tito doesn’t have a name like that yet on his record. it was only a few fights ago that keyshawn was looking ordinary against nahir albright
