Following on from steelie’s music threads, i was just wondering what everyone is currently listening to?
I’m listening to James Blunts’ ‘Back To Bedlam’ album. It’s fantastic and i can’t reccomend it enough.

‘Doolittle’ by the Pixies in the car.
‘Pet Sounds’ by The Beach Boys at home.
‘Sheriff Fatman’ by Carter USM and/or ‘Weekender’ by Flowered Up on my turntable.
Bought NME this week for the first time in ‘years’ & got a free CD, so also trying Bloc Party, The Kills, Kaiser Chiefs, Radio 4, The Blueskins to name but a few.

My mate has badgered me to listen to Kasabian for ages so I’ve just stuck it on my minidisc. I look such a knob with all these other folk flashing their ipods on t’train!!

Bought Moby’s new album after hearing ‘Lift me Up’. The rest is pretty weak though - not as good as Play or 18.
Also just bought the Kasabian and Killers albums, but they haven’t grown on me yet either :-.
Just heard Lyla by Oasis and I must say it didn’t really blow my rocks off. Maybe it’s because I was listening to it on a laptop, but it just seemed to be lacking something. The first part sounds suspiciously like ‘Street Fighting Man’, which they’ve already covered. And it’s a bit long. Other than that it was alright ;D.
Hope the rest is a bit better though…
This week I am mostly listening to the Kaiser Chiefs. The song ‘I predict a riot’ got some airplay here in Seattle and I saw they were kicking off a mini US tour here. So I went down to see them play about 2 weeks ago and they were bloody excellent live. Got the album of the strength of that, which while not as good as the the live show, has stood up to repeated listening.
You may now proceed to tell me how last week/month/year this is for those closer to the cutting edge of British music 
(To put this in context the local “alternative” radio station plays 3 songs by Nirvana in a row at the same time every night. I mean I am fan, but come on they didn’t record that many albums in the first place.)

I saw the Kaiser Chiefs back in January didnt really like them, although I havent listened to their album. Anyone recommend it?
How you finding Bloc Party Gymbo? I quite like them and are decent live.

Not heard any of thier albums before…Razorlight seem alright, not sure on the Libertines though :-\
libertines are OK, first album was good and I liked it, but not enough to bother with the new album. Just can’t be bothered listening to it.
The hype to talent ration is poor; that’s half their problem
Very good mate, it’s a real grower. I’m going to see them in November and maybe Reading Festival.
I’m also seeing the Futureheads (anyone into these?) and Death From Above 1979 next month.

We’ve been listening to Nirvana at work quite alot recently.
The Bravery sound quite good (only heard a couple of songs though).
I’ll say it again - The Ordinary Boys - if you haven’t got a copy of the album get one.
K.Cheif’s sound good but again only heard a few songs.
We have Blondie on in the car at the moment.
