Yea guys, I am moving to the UK in September and will be attending The University of Glasgow in Scotland.
Very prestigious University I may add…
They chose me, and I will be studying International Politics.
Hopefully I will run into a few of you UK fellers and felletes…and do a few pints.
If anything else gets better, I may get into The London School of Economics..still awaiting their descision.
But, I am secured with Glasgow…and will be in town by mid September. Just in time for the mind numbing cold.

Good luck!
From the ‘weapons’ section of that site:
“Only a Glaswegian could come up with the hammer with a stanley knife taped to the top. Genius!” ;D
Don’t wear green in certain areas of the city, don’t wear a cross round your neck and don’t do anything that remotely looks like you’re blessing yourself!
Alternatively,in other areas of the city dont wear a Union Jack t shirt, mention the Queen or wear blue.
And wherever you are, don’t mention Norhern Ireland! ::**
hahahahaha just go to the pub get as pissed and you can then start fighting with the guy next to you at the end of the night and you’ll fit in just dandy
Aside from all that, which area you staying in?West is probably the better bit, just try and avoid going into the city centre too much,it can get pretty violent.Don’t let all this shit put you off though,Glasgow has loads going for it in the entertainment stakes, pubs, clubs, gigs etc and it has a HUGE student population so you’ll find loads to do!
Yeah, Glasgow is pretty good for violent attacks, as you can see em comming and have enough time to pick your shit up and leg it, just be happy its not Nottingham.
Any groups of teenagers in shellsuits are to be avoided…if there’s 4 or more of them they WILL attack you,the lock knife being the weapon of choice closely followed by the empty Buckfast bottle! ;D
Go to that site http://www.glasgowsurvival.co.uk/
Go to ‘Toys’ and scroll down 5 or 6 things to ‘Whit yay lookin it?’.Play that and it will give you a rough idea how to join in the local ‘banter’!!!
Ahah dont worry mate its not “That” dangerous, its just full of men who like to get drunk and fight people, but not ordinary men who like to get drunk and fight, they like to get drunk, prefferably batter you to death and wake up and not remeber a thing.
Theres alot of drugs there as well, and even more chavs. But you’ll probally be living in a posh area so you wont have to worry about the everyday common glaswegian bottling ya
If it’s Kelvinhaugh street thats in quite a posh bit and is about a 10 min walk from the Uni.As i said, just try and avoid walking about the city centre alone. It’s not THAT bad but there are a lot of little pricks out of their faces who will think it funny to attack a guy on his own, just keep your eyes open and you’ll be ok!
