They slapped Mike Tyson on to sell it to the USA. Its a cult game in Japan like most NES games are… nothing to do with Western culture… Basiclly some geeks in a music college or what ever did a perormance of punch out… I doubt it was shown to a main stream audience…

Nah, Tyson’s contract ran out and he didn’t want any more made so they once they where all sold out it was released as punch out over here with ‘mr dream’ or something instead of Tyson.
