I know its been mentioned before but I reckon this would a good fight for both to take.
I know Kessler is busy at the moment but Lacy needs a fight to redeem himself and Kessler would certainly raise his profile with a victory over Lacy.

I DEFINITELY want to see this fight happen in the near future because I really do think Lacy would win and this would be a fight that would boost him back to elite status.
I think it is a little too much for Lacy to have a comeback against a force like Kessler. Such a fight would end Lacy’s career.
I agree…I think Lacy fought Calzaghe about 3 fights too soon and was overwhelmed…Kessler is a prime target for Lacy…
Im with azumir on this one. Lacy’s not ready yet, he needs a couple of confidence boosters IMO, there must be serious doubt in his mind after the beating he took.
No way Lacy wins against a boxer like Kessler IMO, not now anyway, he was shown up fro all his short comings, and you dont want to be mixing it with a big boxer puncher like Kessler who could keep Lacy off for 12 rnds.
It would be interesting. Kessler seems more committed to coming forward and stalking than Calzaghe and he doen’t fight at such a furious pace. He’s quite economical with the amount of shots. Lacy won’t be able to move back with strenght and Kessler is the more accomplished technician on the outside. Lacy’s workrate and power would definitely be an interesting test for Kessler’s chin and stamina.

Lacy could not handle Calzaghe’s psychic and was bullied around, so how the heck should he handles Kessler’s ditto. Kessler is bigger, stronger and just as fast as Calzaghe. ???

You might favourite Lacy over Kessler, but you can be very sure that Gary Shaw is not looking Kessler’s side for Lacy’s next bout.
Could it be a good move for Lacy to go down MW and fight boxers his own size? He could benefit from losing some of his pumped muscle structure, which does not help him in being as strong as the other top SMWs, and then gain stamina and especially speed. I don’t think he will ever make it to the top against today’s monster SMWs

i recall that calzaghe beat evans ahira with a broken hand, but thats besides the point…
kessler has a lot to prove, he hasnt beaten anyone that could be considered the best and in their prime…im not on any lacy bandwagon at all and predicted calzaghe would beat him myself…
i just happen to think that on that night calzaghe was at his very best and that lacy didnt quite give the best account of himself either…
lacy wouldnt fight the same fight twice and i dont rate kessler as high as calzaghe…
a mentally ready lacy would be a challenge for most of the top guys in the division…
I think Lacy should fight Green. Beat him to boost his confidance some and then maybe see about getting in the ring with Kess. I havne’t seen a single Kess fight but the way everyone talks on here and the articles I have read it sure sounds like he’s pretty damn good. Does anyone have any kess fights I could take a look at?

The thing is, Lacy was beaten so badly by Calzaghe, i honestly don’t believe any fight can bring him up to elite status. The Calzaghe fight showed me that Lacy simply aint good enough. If he beats kessler all that will come out of it is ‘kessler was over-rated’ comments.
Azumir should be banned for saying Kessler the equivalent to Calzaghe in terms of speed
