Slow and steady wins the race

Monday Feb 3

NO cigarettes
Andrew ran 1 mile
walked another

Tuesday Feb 4th

Gr He had 6 cigarettes

did 60 pushups
50 crunches

Goal for tomorrow
combine Mon and tuesday

Run 1 mile 70 pushups
60 crunches
and NO DANGED CIGARETTES
Will keep ya posted and will have video at some point

He ran a mile, walked another, impressive. Nice to see TM’s regime is intense :rolleyes:

This is supposed to be his week off.
Im more annoyed that he’s doing anything short of vegetating in front of the TV

Because a normal regimine would be
Run 3 miles
Ab routine
Hyperextensions 4X20
Oblique Routine
100 Rope turns
5 Burpees
5 Pushups (marine)
5 Body weight squats
stretching

This is supposed to be his week off.

And seriously 5 pushups and 5 bodyweight squats, I can do that and I’m a bona fide cripple

Andrews day starts at 6 am getting 3 of 5 kids ready for school then its off to work back home at 6 does his meager workout in the whole 45 mins he has then its dinner and feeding those 6 kids ( the babies still require high chairs and help) that is followed by baths for all 6 then bedtime stories phone calls homework cleaning whatever messes they make getting school clothes ready for the next day then finally by 9 pm they are all usually in bed and again he is doing push ups and situps IF he is able to stay up till 11 or 12 then he has a couple of hours to himself but he pays for those by again waking at 6 am to start all over again and all that is on a good day when nothing goes wrong ( rare indeed) so how long is your day?

I’m only joking Mrs Thunder, Andrew knows I have respect for him. He’s a good guy to have a laugh with is all, he’s part of my Baggins Clan, we’re a friendly group of hobbits, elves, and dwarves all united in our love for Middle Earth, dancing and sing alongs.

He asked if you could join and of course I said you’d be most welcome.

Not sure if Barliman Butterbur had a wife but if so I’m sure a buxom earthy lass like yourself could play the role, Thunder is Aragorn, and I of course am Bilbo Baggins, at your service :slight_smile:

Nah, just kidding. That 3 miles sounds pretty gruelling actually, props to Thunder if he is sticking with that routine.

Another good method of training is to watch The Weakest Link and exercise at the same time. I get on my exercise bike Im able to answer general knowledge questions and watch the clock tick down, whilst simultaneously getting the cardiovascular stimuation I need. An endless diet of curry and Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut can may cause my heart to pop at any time though. ;D

I’m surprised to see Andrew has the energy for any training seeing as he seems to be breeding like rabbits ;D

and Miles, the only exercise you should be doing whilst watching The Weakest Link are wrist exercises to Anne Robinson :skiing:

Sorry those should have been pointed out as do those sets 10 times each,just one after the other with minimal rest

I’ve never been a fan of Andrew’s loose training methods and skill development.

The difference is that this thread is on a board I can control.

If this thread turns into a pisstake, its gone.

I dont think doing 50 marine style pushups is loose after 3 miles of roadwork
There’s a reason he looked better in this past fight

My biggest problem with Andrew is since he has to train around his families schedule,he keeps thinking he can make up for it by over training,like he can play catch up.

Andrew your schedule for Sunday is up,and I expect you to do it

Squat jumps 6xs
Split Jumps 6Xs

Alot of people dont realise,he went in to this last fight with bruised ribs,and he still won,no matter what the judges said. We were sitting on that little piece of info.He got caught in the 3rd with a shot right on them.I didnt really want him to go,but he did,so I just put a gameplan together to get around it.

He is trying to get away from that kind of stuff,lord knows I want him to.

There are no excuses ..KT IS training daily which I promise you is more then he has done in the past if Im not riding him MT is the results will be seen in his june fight as well as on Stacys video’s of the WEEKLY sparring at the gym I have stepped in to help with the kids and yell or scream or whatever else I have to do to keep him motivated but do not think all this is easy on Him or on me we both work fulltime and as someone else said he breeded like a damn rabbit for 5 years again NOT an excuse simply saying there are obstacles to overcome and we are managing to OVERCOME them you all know KT can you remember a time when there was even a log on his training??? Id say we are making good progress with 4 months to go I cannot wait for everyone to see the improvement
