Hitman's chances, realistic....

Having just got back from the You Ess of Eh, they really are giving Ricky no chance at all…

Is it just me that can see Rick beating mayweather easily, IF he turns up 110% and fights the right tactics??

Or is it just me with my biased gigs on??

i wouldnt say he beats him easily, but for me he will beat him no doubt about it

No one said Calzaghe beat Lacy easy before the fight… I did, If the real JOE turned up…

I think it could be 12 one sided rounds or probably a late stoppage.

However, obviously, If he doesn’t fight the right fight it could and will be the opposite

i wouldn’t say easily - lets not forget if there is a style to beat Ricky,it’s Floyd Mayweather’s imo.

but i think Ricky is the best at what he does and will pressure and bully Floyd all the way to a CLOSE decision.

i think Ricky will bring out the best in Floyd Mayweather, because Floyd will come to the realisation he needs EVERYTHING to even stay in the fight, but like you say if Ricky turns up at his best i too see it being Hatton’s big night. Can’t wait

can i just ask why do u think ‘easily’ mate?

oh and never mind the Americans ::slight_smile: there is always that 95% that don’t know what they’re talking about, write off the Brit, and pick the yank by default. They don’t know what they’re watching to be honest.

I can see Floyd starting slow, taking 3-4 rounds to get into the fight. - 4 rounds to hatton
When Floyd starts to try and take it up and get into his rhythm, Ricky is well into his, opening up downstairs etc - 7 rds to hatton
Floyd can’t stand on the ropes trying to ride punches like he always does when it is Ricky Hatton throwing them. He hits like a horse to the body, as u know.

I can just see it being 12 one sided rounds if he doesn’t stop him late, which I will be putting my pennies on as always

don’t get me wrong, it could be 12 disasterous rounds of course. this is boxing!

I think its going to be a very tough fight for him and it wont be an easy win, but i know he will!

Its been the case with all the recent clashes between Brits and big names Stateside. Calzaghe v Lacy, Hatton v Tyzu, Lets hope the trend continues. A Hatton victory over Mayweather would seal a rather wonderful trinity of the US pundits getting things hopelessley wrong. Perhaps the major difference between this encounter and the previous two is that US and UK pundits seems for the large part to be in agreement regarding the outcome. As for it being easy, I see it being the toughest contest of both fighters careers thus far.

f ookin hell smigga thats going out on a limb, think your the only one who thinks this may be easy. I can see what your thinking and it could end up that way but the smart money would say Ricky wins it on points due to his aggression with his face in a reet mess.

I think being close to Ricky as you are maybe has tainted your view but one things for sure

I hope your right ;D

Have to agree! The Americans often look through rose tinted glasses when looking at there own! I think its a massive statement about American mindsets when Many could pick out Afghanistan or Iraq on a Map. It goes to prove how Ignorant the Americans have become on International matters. This filters down to all levels of society and this includes boxing and a prime example is Ricky and previoulsy Calzaghe being written off!

i actually agree with ya very much mate but i also think you’re underestimating Floyd a bit. i think he’ll realise pretty soon that he needs to try very hard to assert his gameplan but i see it the same as you Ricky’s rhythm and dominance will be enough to make the difference and exploit Floyd’s weakness.

i think Mayweather is a bit brilliant though and will come up with some ideas to make the fight hard for Hatton. He’ll realsie he’s gotta get to the center of the ring and punch and move and it will win him some of the rounds imo because he’ll catch Ricky and then bugger off but at the end of the day i see Ricky’s beautiful combination of footwork, strength, speed (i honestly think this is what will make this fight a winner for Hatton), power, and fitness combined of course with his indominable will, these will all add up and i thinkat the end of a very close fight a winner will be known after a fantastic 12th round.

Rick won’t beat him easily any victory from either fighter will be very hard fought and well earned.

yep - hate tosay it and sorry to go off topic but a lot of them have that whole ‘America is the best country in the world’ attitude national pride is one thing but thinking your country is just better by default and better in all aspects is ignorant and arrogant.

i just wish the type of Americans we are talking about (because its obviously not all of them) could watch something like Borat or Team America and see just what a laughable bunch of ignorant supremist idiots they are.

i love America though  all the good people there are a friend of matty’s ;D

This is true bu a british steam roller his heading there way on dec 8th and they will be in for an hard night.

oh no doubt they’ll have their eyes opened violently by a vicious body banging Mancunian on December 8th!

It is a great country, but and ignorant one at that! But lets get back on topic and agree to agree that Rick will show them the errors of their ways a la Calzaghe.

very relistic mate, if Hatton can punish his body the way odh should have i see mouthweather hittin canvas in 8! :o

:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o ace i like this… i’m new to technology my frinds, sorry ;D

friends ;D ok i’ll stop it now

Mayweather is no Lacy, and Hatton is no Calzaghe. Lacy was an unproven fighter that depended on brawling. He was supposed to put pressure on Calzaghe ,wear him down, then knock him out. He got OUTBOXED. Thus, if comparisons must be made, in this equation Mayweather is Calzaghe and Hatton is Lacy based on the similarity of styles and fight plan. All the nationalist blither going on here is clutching at straws.
