Ali…but I still don’t think he’s the “greatest of all time”…in boxing that title should belong to Joe Louis and in music a tie between Elvis and James Brown
Lets not forget Ali had his peak years taken away from him, as he had no problem with no Viet Cong, and to still be talked about as the poss greatest speakes massive about how good the guy was. :badass:
I sort of agree but Louis’s opposition wern’t that great i think it was probably worse than Holmes opposition in his reign im not taking anything away from Louis but you know Lyle Louis reign wern’t filled with greats but to be fair to Louis he didn’t duck anyone and you can only beat the guys in front of you.
I hope to God your joking about Tommy Morrison being a “mover” lol ;D
[/quote] Sorry my mistake i should of made it cleaer what im saying is Morrison didn’t stand in front of Foreman he constantly stayed on outside thats what i mean by mover meaning thats type of style that troubles Foreman and thats what Morrison done in that fight moving all the time it was pretty boring fight aswell.
After reading quite a few of your posts you seem to have great knowledge of fighter’s that’s why the ‘mover’ comment shocked me a little
Your spot on about Morrison during the Foreman fight he boxed great that night.
Joe Louis did what he did so easily and it sort of makes everyone forget that he did fight some good boxers: Max Baer, Max Schmelling, Joe Walcott, Billy Conn, Jim Braddock, Jimmy Bivins, Jack Sharkey…that’s not too shabby right there.
Joe fought often and he fought consistently and he holds actual records…Ali does not.
As I said before this match between Ali and Foreman pits the best BOXER vs the best SLUGGER…on talent alone I am more amazed by Foreman, not to say Ali didn’t do amazing things.
