Every scene in Dragon Tiger Gate blew me away—with the exception of the final scene. It was cool, but so many great scenes, made it hard to exceed the expectations- especially the restaurant scene- the camera angles from the top was off the charts!
This is the scene where the camera angles from the top- were unique. not sure what became of the stars of this movie well except Donnie Yen!!

Never even looked at it. I thought it was some Harrison Ford gone karate flick, now I know!! I said Dayum, just these three minutes got my face, back and body aching. They taking for real slams.
He did a great job in Triple X, even though Yen had the bigger part. I saw an interview where he was pretty excited about his first cross over film. But yeah since then he hasn’t got that lead that Yen or Jet Li got.
Not Karate but a movie called Chocolate starring JeeJa Yanin. It has some very good fight scenes.
I thought JeeJa Yanin was going to blow up after that movie, but outside of the fight scenes in Raging Phoenix her talents haven’t really been utilized to their full potential. Much like Tony Jaa.
I will give it another view. I saw just a few scenes and thought it was some good action.
Good pick, thx!

Well, this wasn’t a great fight movie, but no place else to put a Dolemite fight scene at!! Eddie Murphy did his impersonation of Rudy Ray Moore. His fight style? Well…
I grew up on a steady diet of Shaw Brothers Karate Flicks!
Gordon Liu was one of my top- loved his fight against the Japanese Crab style by Yasuaki Kurata who usually got the bad guy roles, but he always lost with dignity- or usually a tie. he’s the old guy that fights to a draw against Jet Li in Fist of Legend.
Heroes of the East
My top Gordon Liu fight scene is in Instructors of Death- they fight in a corridor that gets smaller, so they have to adopt- and always name their style & compliment each other when using it!
This fight scene should’ve gotten a lot of fanfare, maybe not for fighting, but comedic gold. What I’d like to know when this movie came out, did the Hindi audience see this as great fighting? ;D
