Hey Here are some logical fights for Ricky to try to get in the future. These are all in my opinion, tell me what yall think.! thanks
Witter. They have been rivals since day one, witter is filled with jelously of his fellow englishmen. Witter has always been 2 and this may be his shot at rick. This would also be the biggest fight that could be made at 140.
Malinaggi. Paulie has always talked trash about top fighters trying to boost himself into a fight with one of them. He was been wanted a shot at himfor a while. But this is all depending on his upcoming fight in febueary.
3.Hopkins. Cousin of the HOF bernard. He is an up and comer and this could be his big test to see if he has made it to the top. Only problem that could hold this fiight back is that I believe that both fighters are promoted by Golden Boy.
4.Rees. Another jelous British up and comer, this wouldn’t be the most exciting fight on competitiveness but is a possibility.
5.Juan Diaz. The 135 pound champ is young. undefeated and hungry. He has taken down all challengers at 135 easily and it seems as if its time to move up in weight.
Katsidis. If these is someone who wouldn’t want to see these two fight you must not have a pulse. No matter who Katsidis is fighting it is exciting. And because of this he will alwaysfind big fights much like Gatti. He is young and prospering and very exciting.
MANNY PACQUIAO. the Pacman has dominated all fighters with his almost invincable offense. He is looking for the big money fights and that is tough to find at 130 and 135. He also has been looking for that one defining fight. The 2 p4p fighter in the world could find hatton at 140 and this could be a Golden Boy vs. Top Rank Superfight.
only 7 looks exciting but i think hatton takes it out of himself doing 10st at his age,the other matches arent good enough to be in rickys company who do you take him 4 calzache!!
If Ricky doesn’t retire I gotta say start with Witter, fight him and go from there. The Hatton camp has just fought a slightly similar fighter in PBF, so they could just refine the tactics and fix it to fit with Witters style.
The talk of going to fight DLH … well thats just F*ckin silly (PBF wasn’t renowned for his hard hitting yet KO’d him) DLH will steam roller him with his strength of wieght and power.
TBH I can’t see Ricky continuing. Hope I am wrong but I feel he has already mentioned retirement and already had his big payday, so why risk it? He has his health, family and loved ones, friends and enough cash to see him through. He also probably has oppotunities to host TV shows or be a boxing commentator. The lad won’t be badly off if he does retire from boxing.
Well thats just my opinion, I am no expert and usually wrong so feel free to pick it apart or Ricky feel free to prove me wrong
I’d love to see Hatton V Witter and I really hope it happens this coming year.
Anyway overall Hatton gave a good performance, I am a little concerned about him been KO’d by someone not renowned as a big puncher, yeah different weight class etc but to me that isn’t a good thing. All of Floyds recent opponents avoided that, maybe Floyd was just hyped up and good on the night, hope thats it.
