If Wilder fights Stiverne he will at least get his chin tested.
I’d like to see Deontay become a really good fighter because he’s exciting. Flaws and all, he’s exciting. But he fights like he’s been to a gym once to get some quick pointers. Fingers crossed, unfortunately he’s just about out of time to shore up the things he should have years ago.

For sure but that goes 2x for Stiverne. He got hit a lot and hurt by Arreola. Wilder is a lot sharper, faster, longer and hits much harder.
Stiverne is a lazy fighter who like to sit and wait for countering opportunities. Problem is he’s going to have to actually work to get inside on Deontay. If he just stands on the outside like he did with shorter stocky Arreola, Wilder is going to kill him.

Yes I realise that now but at the time he was the next great thing.

Grant was a little different than Wilder… Wilder at least went to the Olympics, even though he didn’t have many amateur fights.
Grant had a suspect chin before he fought Lewis- and we all knew about it.
Wilder can at least BOX. Grant could not, at all. Grant clubbed his way to wins and used his height- Wilder can stick and move and does so, albeit at an average rate.
Wilder is NO Grant.
Yeah I think with Wilder knocking everyone out, his actually boxing ability is being overlooked.
Granted the stamina/chin issues are still up in the air.
You are right, it’s getting close to the real fight nite for Wilder. All you can do is hope for the best, we know he has heavy hands and a good delivery.
His chin and stamina are untested, we don’t know how he will react to pressure or if he uses his jab for anything except a range finder.
He’s a boxer but we don’t know if he can box. He’s a fighter but we don’t know if he has any heart.
