David “the bodysnatcher” whitmire (tic’s prospect watch)

if you haven’t been paying attention yet, keep an eye on david “the bodysnatcher” whitmire, one of those young prospects quietly putting it all together.

kid’s just 21, sitting at 12-0 with 8 kos, and he’s been in the game longer than you’d think. started boxing at 12 under andrew council, the former world title challenger, and from early on it was clear he wasn’t your typical amateur-style volume guy. he had around 60 amateur fights, but his whole identity was breaking opponents down to the body, to the point council gave him the “bodysnatcher” nickname after mike mccallum.

he turned pro in 2023 just before turning 18 and immediately showed why his style translates to the pros. he’s a patient fighter for his age, works behind a clean jab to establish range, then starts digging downstairs and doesn’t let up. not flashy, just methodical pressure that adds up and wears guys down.

he’s one of those prospects where the style + mindset screams “better as a pro.” If the matchmaking steps up right, he’s definitely someone to watch at 147

good fight that, kinda liked Munoz as well tbh but as soon as the body shots went in the fight just changed… good that and that was a few fights ago so I imaging he’s gotten even better now

Anyone that uses the body snatcher name better be good as they have high standards to live up to.

The best was Mike McCallum and if he is as good as he was then he has a good future.
