Congrats guys, adam mate i thought you should of been a trainer section mod ages ago. Your always here and know heaps. Alex W will be missed…too bad he wasnt real. Sounded like a good boxer and sounded like he had a good knowledge of the sport but he fooled us all. clicks to both of yas :wink:

what happened with alex w,i from brighton and asked him alot of questions to which he had no answers,i thought he was lying but had no proof,what did you guys find out???

he was impersanating a lad from his school called Alex who was a boxer to some how get at him. He knows a bit about sports science but all the stuff he posted about boxing technique came out of books about boxing :stuck_out_tongue:

I started to see holes with what he was saying about amatuer shows and stuff and apperently he was so poor that he couldn’t afford a TV and had use a ‘communal TV’ in the flats he lived in, he posted on the forums at really strange times though (where you would need an internet connection in your house and a PC) yet he couldn’t afford a PC… didn’t quiet fit…

In that picture of him.. he said he was 5 foot 11 (roughly my height) and that he weighed about 2 stone less than me yet he was a but stockier than me… very strange :stuck_out_tongue:

Also he was ment to be like 40 and 1 or something yet he wasn’t on the ABA site and he fought outside of the boxing season.

??? ??? wow,that guys a proper nut job,when i moved to brighton i wanted to find out about the boxing scene and asked him loads of questions he did’nt give me one proper answer,i told my girlfriend there was this guy making things up but then he would post something that made sense so i was never 100% certain he was talking crap.

also he was never on the any of the local amateur shows even though they were organised by his supposed coach scott welch.

Holy s**t, I didn’t realise AlexW was a fraud. I thought I noticed some inconsistencies in his posts about his height and weight etc. but assumed I was just confusing him with someone else.

anyway, good job adam and grey, you’re giving sound advice and reply to most questions asked cc both.
