Why would at least 8 major hotel chains all build right across the street from a very busy railroad line? I’ve been here four hours and the building has been rumbling the whole time.
Better yet, why did I stay here again since the exact same thing happened 12 years ago, the last time I stayed in Cheyenne. Even ate at the same Outback Steakhouse I swore never to set foot in again. And Downtown Cheyenne has some cool restaurants and bars and hotels.
I know this because I knew ten days ago that I would be here tonight so I checked it out. But I got tired and I forgot.
You are in Wild Bill Hickoks territory.
There was, a minute ago, a mini van with the alarm going off. The horn was bad but at least it drowned out the trains.
That’s a little close for comfort but I have always missed the sound of the trains. It used to put me to sleep at night. I grew up in Saskatchewan and my granddad was an engineer with the CPR. Main line ran right through the middle of town carrying wheat etc.
I bet Cheyenne is a cool place though with all that history.

Grey never been thru that part of America, hear the scenery and fresh mountain air is nice, maybe you will see Dick “THE DICK” Cheney-Insaney over there.

I don’t think he has set foot in Wyoming, beyond the few minutes it took to establish residency.
