Boxing Gloves for a heavy bag (Strength Training)?

I am 5’10 1/2" and I my weight fluctuates between 155 and 162.

I just purchased a 100 pound Everlast Nevatear heavy bag and some hand wraps, and would like to know what a good heavy bag glove is that will actually last a little while.

I’m not boxing to get into tournaments or anything, I’m doing this strictly for Strength Training and trying to build muscle and get a good workout. Should I just get standard heavy bag gloves, or get weighted boxing gloves

If weighted, what weight would you recommend?

Thanks

I personally have about 5-6 sets of gloves. if you are just doing it for exercise i would recommend these harbinger bag gloves ( http://www.harbingerfitness.com/flash/catalog/Gloves/320.html )

they arnt heavy so you can throw twice as many punches in quick succession + if you want to build up strength, buy atleast gloves weighing in at 10 oz, i’ve got a 12 oz pair and they are good for building up power in the arms.
My ones are respect sports ones, but any other make would be good enough i geuss.

i prefer gloves tht arent too hard and no too thick i feel more instictive with the punches if i can actually fell the impact on my knuckles rather feel like ur hittin pillows

I ended up getting the Century Wrap gloves. I found them at Sportmart for 39.99 but they didn’t have my size so I went to Dicks sporting goods and they were 49.99, but I got them to match Sportmarts price of 39.99

Get 16 oz heavy bag gloves for protection. If you want a tougher workout, try 18–20 oz weighted gloves. Look for strong padding and good wrist support.
