Students from the Benjamin Banneker Elementary School in New Orleans watched former middleweight king Bernard Hopkins train with renowned fitness guru Mackie Shilstone on Tuesday during a media workout. Following the workout, the kids joined Hopkins for a lunch mixed in with inspirational messages from the living legend. “I selected New Orleans as a training camp to help support the community and people who are recovering from their losses,” said Hopkins. “After what these kids have been through with Hurricane Katrina, I’m sure I can learn a few lessons about stamina and perseverance from them too.” Hopkins is preparing for his “FIGHT TO THE FINISH” showdown against light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver on June 10, 2006.
Any watch that RJJ doc with Mackie Shilstone on it? The guy is fucking crazy… I’m not on about the way he trains people… just him in general… A STEALTH BOMBER! WTF was he on about?
