I mean really, this poor guy was the laughing stock of boxing for so long after Kostya made a fool of him,(and film is forever, so that will be there for the world to see for eternity), he get’s beat down in his own backyard by a no-name, and in the biggest fight of his career, loses, again. But what broke my heart more than anything was this photo. Zab looks like a young man with broken dreams. How cruel this world can be
i wouldn’t cry about it, but this was the reason why i wanted him to win…
Everyone has hopes, expectations and dreams…Zab is human after all, he’ll have to show great integrity to come back. But that is life, and i can only hope the best for him.
No, I DON’T know it. because I didn’t see it the same way you did and I never will. And it’s not because I’m a Judah fan either. But I will disagree with you forever that everything was intentional and you blasting Judah for something every fighter has done. Do you say “fuck Bernard” for what he did against William Bo James? Did I? No I didn’t because I know what it’s like to be in the flow of boxing and in a zone so I will never ever see it that way.
Come on now! Zab’s speed is the only thing that helped him. Yes he won 3 of the first 4, but Floyd dominated 5-11, crushing him to the body, and taking his heart. Zab tried to fluster Floyd because he couldn’t take it, then he was about to be dropped, and resorts to some bullshat.
I give Zab credit, but this wasn’t a tough fight for Floyd at all. If they rematch, ZAB WILL BE KOD.
Zab didn’t help himself, simply because, when he was getting hurt, he showed how little class he has, and can’t hang with the big dogs.
I don’t know if Floyd would ko Judah in a second fight or it would be similar to the first except Floyd would dominate more rounds simply because of what happened in the Taylor-Hopkins II fight… I thought Hopkins had Taylor figured out, but Taylor was more skilled than we outside the ring give him credit for, and same with Judah.
i agree. he fouled floyd and then everything exploded. if roger hadn’t jumped in the ring then there would have been a warning given to zab, maybe points taken, and then zab woulda got knocked out in the 11th. and lets admit it he would been KOd. it was a tough fight, but castillo gave much more trouble than zab. castillo made floyd run all night. mayweather pretty much took judah’s best and delivered his own with ease.
There was no flow there Starr…he was getting his ass handed to him & he did the only thing that he knew to do…he took aim & he tagged Floyd in the balls.
It wasn’t a slip up…he knew what was happening & if Judah’s as great as you say he is…he knew a whole lot better than to nail Floyd in the back of the head after hitting him in the balls.
Also…do you honestly want to sit here & compare Zab Judah & Bernard Hopkins? Come on now.
I think what Bernard did would deserve more attention. Knocking James down against the ropes and then when the ref steps in between you to count hitting James multiple times and giving him the ‘suck it’ sign would merit it more to me then anything Zab did.
do you hold bernard in high esteem? hes a gutless bum if there ever was. i’ve never seen such a dirty fighter get so much praise. if he didn’t keep winning then he would be villified just like judah. judah just threw a few illegal punches. i’ve seen lotsa guys do that–remember tito/vargas, how many deliberate lows did tito throw? how many times has bernard deliberately gone after people’s hips, and sneaky lows blows against the ropes, when the ref is on the other side? mayorga…no comment. zab did the best he could, and cracked after being dominated. its not admirable, but understandable.
Everybody loves tito though. thats the difference. It won’t be made as such a big deal. if Zab had done exactly what tito did, then people wouldn’t give tito credit for knocking out Mayorga. I saw Tito Vargas again yesterday and Jim Lampley is all FOR Tito even with the low blows. but Judah throws one low blow and Jim Lampley says it’s the most classless thing he’s ever seen.
Honestly I can’t say that I’m very sorry for him, although his post-fight statement giving thanks to “his lord and savior” Jesus Christ seemed way out of place, almost pathetic. Most of the fighters that espouse to being a Christian behave in a more gentlemanly manner both inside and outside the ring. Furthermore, to my knowledge, Zab Judah is Jewish, which is quite rare for a person of African heritage. There are Jews who espouse to being followers of Jesus but there aren’t many of them. They’re called messianic Jews. Maybe Zab and his father Yoel are? I don’t know but Zab seems like a confused young man for sure.
Feel sorry for him, your kiddin right? I don't feel one bit sorry for Zab, I feel bad that Floyd didn't put his low blow, rabbit punching bitch ass to sleep, I mean Zab looked o.k for first 4 rds, but everybody knows that championship fights are much longer than 4 rds, and the cream always rises to the top. The low blow was DELIBERATE, I had watched it several times since, I mean Zab was actually looking at his nuts as he threw the punch, then he rabbit punches PBF, AND THEN TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, HE THREW A 3RD PUNCH THAT MISSED. Zab was wearing down and on his way to getting stopped, everybody could see that, then Zab outta fustration fouled PBF, uncle Rog was wrong, but so was Joel Judah who threw the 1st punch then Zab ran around the back of PBF's advisor and stole him and it did'nt even drop him. But the long interruption only help Zab, because he was ready to go, no question about it. As far as Joel Judah is concerned, he belongs in the same class as Norman Stone.
He’s got to show a lot more decency before I feel sorry for him. There’s nothing wrong with boxers being brash and it’s got to be necessary to manufacture some sort of anger for someone you’re committed to spending 40 mins fighting with but his behaviour has always been crass and has alienated a lot of people who might otherwise have supported him.
Roger Mayweather’s stupid actions aren’t on him though, low blow or no low blow.
