It’s kinda crazy to sit back listening to Ruiz talk about his historical place and then realize he hasn’t won a fight in literally 4 years to the night of this one, give a day or so. and has only fought once where he looked very ordinary vs Big Pharma Jarrell Miller. Can only hope he has his nose to the grindstone is this is the start of a final active push. But if he comes in sloppish and looking past Knyba I think he could have some serious problems. Looking forward to Alan Chaves v Garcia on the undercard.

Andy Ruiz has signed with Eddie Hearn probably on a promise to face AJ in the future should he win.
It will be interesting what he has left.

So I’m happy to have stumbled on this fight.

Contreras continuing pretty quick all things considered. That was a nasty butt and LB not exactly a mistake imo. Southpaw Moses very sharp. He doesn’t need to do all that.
Zaquin Moses up 3-0 over Contreas into the 4th. No idea why Moses keeps his mouth open that much, he’s definitely not winded.
5-0 Moses. Not missing with the left jab and picking spots to mix it up. Ends ropund with Contreas pinned to ropes 3 times in a row as Moses lets his hands go.
Corner of Contreas waves the fight off between rounds on the stool after 5th.
Moses looked very sharp. Clearly dominated the whole fight. Contreras was overmatched from the start. So far it seems Moses has the goods for such a young fighter. Quick and powerful southpaw, which always gives opponents fits. He’s also got the quick feet, so he’s always in position. Have a feeling we’re gonna hear a lot more about this kid.
