Cordina stated: "I was due to fly to the United States this week. A couple of days back I went to the US embassy in London and they basically denied me a visa.
"I tried to explain certain things, and had all the paperwork to back it up, and they wasn’t having it.
"They just sort of basically told me you ain’t getting in, so it’s on my hands.
“Absolutely gutted, because it’s my chance to become a three time two-weight world champion, plus fight for a world title in America, which was a goal of mine.”
Cordina added he “feels bad” for Mason and denied suggestions he has suffered an injury.
“I’ve seen a load of things saying injuries, and this, and there’s no injuries. I’ve had a great camp,” said Cordina.

Joe Cordina faces a court appearance in July after being charged “with assault and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place”.
South Wales Police (SWP) has confirmed Cordina and another man have been charged in connection with an incident that took place outside a petrol station in the Cardiff suburb of Pentwyn last February.
SWP stated: "Joseph Cordina, 34, from Pontprennau, has been charged with assault and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place. He is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on July 7.
“Jamie O’Brien, 32, from Pentwyn, has been charged with assault and is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on July 28.”

. Short little promo but a promo nonetheless! At least on “regular” tv it kinda felt like seeing a dinosaur crossing the street because you just don’t see them anymore. How it took Dazn this long to finally utilize and work with multi platforms/channels in the States to actually promote meaningful top cards is baffling. Their scheduling has always struck me like throwing random spaghetti at the wall and stateside it’s even worse to nonexistent. Let us hope this indicates a legit shift with intent to grow the sport and gather more eyes here. Dazn and also airing on old school TNT and surprisingly even TruTV.
