All i remember of this guy was when i was about 10/11 seeing him fighting Herbie Hide on the rooftop prior to there fight, had a look on Boxrec and he never fought after his fight with Hide anyone know why?? Also how the hell did he get a shot against Tommy Morrison in the first place prior to the Hide fight. He was only like 10-1 when he fought the Duke?
after he lost against Herbie Hide, he collapsed in his dressing room and had to go to the hospital for an operation…
He had abit of brain damage and but he’s ok, he was never allowed to box again.

yeah he’s a very articulate and intelligent guy from what i understand..i read an interview with him online once–i cant remember where…it doesnt suprise me that he landed that gig in Ali…i imagine hundreds of folks tried out…its nice to hear that he’s ok after getting brain damaged..perhaps joe mesi might want to follow in his footsteps in that regard..
