no, i think its easier than lettin it bounce twice cos then ur just waiting for the ball
plus i think its much harder to hit the ball going away from u than coming towards you
build it up, from two bounces to one then let them rip. I recommend the Speeball workout /bible, it’s called something like that you can change tempo/hands/punches, most people do what looks like a backhand but you can throw, jabs, rear straights etc. Don’t be too worried about how hard/fast you do it, for starters just try and keep the ball moving for a round.
the speed of the ball can depend on the size of the ball and how much it is inflated. if you have got it right for your ability the correct way to do the speed ball is to hit it, let it hit the boared in the direction you hit it so it bounces off and hits the board on the side closesed to your head, then it hits the board in front of you again, and then you hit it again. so it bounces three times in between hits. but if you have a ball that goes slowly, it is possible to do the same aproach with only one bounce, however it is easy and you dont achieve anything by doing it that way.
^^^ That’s how I do it.. It connects with the hand, hits the back of the board, hits the board near your head, hits the back of the board again, and then as it’s coming back to you you hit it again.. 2 things that can slow the ball down is it may be not pumped up enough, so you may want to put more air in their.. Also if your platform moves around and is not solid, that can wash a lot of speed off the ball and you do feel as though sometimes your waiting for it… But whatever the problem it is, if you give it an almighty whack, it’ll move fast enough for you and you definetly won’t have to wait for that 3rd bounce..
If it’s going to slow, your not hitting it hard enough.
i had to buy a new ball and a new hook thing that attaches the ball to the swivel cos it went to slow, i had to hit it super hard, i did it pissed up once and hit the ball, and then hit the wall and took all theskin off my hand.
You really got to hit at your rythm and pace, onyl you know if your letting it bounce to much or your hitting it too soft, so start off slow, but still challanging enough and progress, otherwise you will never get the benefits of a full workout.
On my speed ball i let it bounce once.
Well, you see my speed ball is quiet cheap and therefore slower than you’re average speed ball.
Proffesional boxers in my gym let the ball bounce twice before hitting it, the ball bounces so fast it appears to a normal person that it is only bouncing once.
