Odds are, good ole Arturo is gonna destroy Baldomir, and PBF will win someway against “Super” ::** Judah. I know Floyd’s said he want ODLH and Hitman, but eventually people are going to remind him despite being a P4P great he was only a paper champ and junior welter and welter… unless of course he fights Gatti again. What does everyone else think?
I personally think if Gatti actually brawls like he’s used to rather than trying to box Mayweather this could be a great fight, not making any predictions (I enjoy Thunder so much I’d make some biased and ultimately stupid prediction) but I’d love to see Arturo try and recapture his brawling excitement like we saw against Ward. Those were the fights that originally got me hooked on boxing and we need more like em.
It would surprise me if Gatti took a second fight with PBF. Even if he tried to brawl, PBF would just pick him apart like last time. It is just an extremely bad style match up for Gatti.
I really think with Gatti brawling he could stand a chance. Personal opinion but I think the reason he was so soundly demolished was that he attempted to box. I think there are three truly dnagerous fights for Floyd, a rematch with Gatti, Hatton, or a rematch with Jose Luis Castillo. He has no reason to take any apart from the Hatton fight and would be mad to do so, but it would be interesting to see.
Hatton will give Floyd immense pressure which he will struggle with, as long as they fight in the next year or two. Castillo just seems more imposing now to me (granted I’m basing this on the two fights with Corrales). Like I said, I’m not predicting anything for Gatti, honestly i believe PBF would probably win, but I think it would be a more entertaining fight should we have it again and Gatti Brawls more.
Wether people would pay for it is not my original point, I believe the fight should happen if both win their next fights because Floyd should have a legit championship rather than a paper one like at junior welterweight.
He’s a paper champ at Junior Welter - Gatti was not "“the man”, if he beat Tsuyu or Hatton he couldve been considered champ, they were the respective number one men in the division.
And how on earth can anyone seriously count Zab as a champion, he only has the damn belt because Baldomir cant afford the extra sanctioning fee, it was despicable that he was allowed to and is keeping it. He has to beat the winner of Gatti Baldomir to be considered the Welterweight champ as well.
People would still pay for it. As ridiculous as it sounds. Regardless of belts, but belts would make it more interesting. What would hype it even more, is if Gatti destroys Baldomir in less than 3 rds. People always want to see a beatdown, and if Gatti does what i stated, his fans will be chanting Floyd’s name. Believing that he can summon some magic, one more time. I love watching Gatti fight, and I’m a fan, but this is one fight I hope he doesn’t take.
Didnt any of you see the first Gatti-Mayweather fight? Gatti was 30 seconds behind everything Mayweather did. It was such a mismatch, it made Winky-Trinidad look like a close fight.
I understand your logic, but when a fight is so lopsided, even if Gatti destroys the “Dangerous” Baldomir, I dont see the public screaming for Gatti-PBF 2.
What makes the Gatti-Baldomir winner any more deserving of a PBF fight than Margarito? First off, PBF will never fight Baldomir. Telemundo would have trouble getting people to watch that. Nobody wants to see Gatti get beat up again, either. Which leaves Judah, once he loses to PBF, as the sensible option for the Gatti-Baldomir winner.
