Toney was out of shape & outpointed becuz of his arrogance! Rahman’s power didn’t hurt Toney so we all can see that he can take a punch, but just becuz Toney can’t KO like a heavyweight doesn’t mean he can’t beat a heavyweight! If he trains right and loses the weight, a second time with Rahman will be an easier fight! Toney still has it if he can lose the weight!
No doubt man. I thought a draw was bein kinda generous too Toney, but was by no means a gift. Rahman outworked da Tub, but barely. Toney still pot shotted him and showed that if his lazy ass would get down to at least 220, he would dominate The Rock. I’m amazed James didn’t fade or pass out, I mean he was outta shape big time. He’s still the most talented guy at HW and can anybody out there, just needs to get in better shape.

Here’s the thing…I don’t like Toney…he’s arrogant & I just don’t like him…but that’s not to say that he can’t fight. He’s a damned fine boxer…but he IS NOT A HEAVYWEIGHT. I’m sorry…he’s not. He weighs 237 lbs…but he’s not a heavyweight fighter. He’s just fat. If he trains right and loses the weight…good for him…but he needs to move back down. I’d respect his ass a hell of a lot more if he did.

Tone weighs 40 pounds more than that and you wan’t him to come down to 175. That’s 65 damn pounds even if it is mostly fat. Ya gotta figure, where is the money at for James? At HW, not LH or Cruiser. The glory is also at HW, what adds to his legacy more? Being HW Champ of the World or LH or Cruiser Champ?

I didn’t criticize him…I speculated that that is what hurt him…not just jumping to the weight…but not taking the time to accomodate his body.

I had it 7-5 Rock, I’ve seen some writers say it should have been a draw, and I don’t have a problem with that, 117-111 was ridiculous, but if anybody deserved to actually win the fight it was Rahman. Why? Because he wanted it more. Just annoying.

Come on. The fact is he didn’t come in in shape and I don’t think that should be used towards him in a favorable light. I love watching Toney in the ring and I like him out of the ring sometimes, but I’m about out of patience with him.
