Most of the posters, who now hype Calzaghe to be a supernatural thing, were before the Calzaghe-Lacy fight talking about this protected European as the most overrated thing on earth.
Especially after the Ashira, Veit and Salem fights, he was being attacked and almost all posters on this board posted stupid statements as: slapping, Lacy KO 3 and so on.
Lacy did NOT do better against Calzaghe than Ashira, Veit and Salem, actually worse, but now Calzaghe has suddenly from one fight to another transformed into a supernatural boxer due to his victory over very very poor skilled Lacy…..
My point is that Joe Calzaghe has not moved from his high level of boxing, but just continued it in the Lacy fight. Jeff Lacy was just a poor opponent accept or not, but now all the Lacy NH (sorry fans) has to trampoline Calzaghe into a supernatural thing trying to save faces for their stupid hyping of an average boxer as Lacy.
Fellow posters, when Lacy struggled against Ross Thompson, Omar Sheika (who Beyer beat in a shootout) and Rubin Williams, then you should have taken of your lacymania sunglasses.

No no, Wacko, I have stated many times that I like Lacy and his courage to take on Calzaghe. He is brave but not very skilled. He is also an American and we need Americans in SMW to make it a marketable division and exciting.
What I do NOT like is the NH, who preformed all the Lacy hype, which was never justified by his skills.
Actually, I have never watched Lacy has KOed an opponent so he was counted out on the canvas, so why should we mention the early stoppages of Syd and Williams and do you really think he beat them to a pulp?
I am from Scandinavia and most guys are whites here, so am I allowed to support my country fellowmen or should I support afro-Americans or Africans to satisfy you?

Ayub Kalule and Rachid Lawal were very popular in Denmark as they fought out of Denmark and they were both coloured. Actually the boxing community in Denmark is very international as a lot of immigrants are boxing.
Another Danish boxer with non-danish-background is Reda Zam Zam. I guess he is an Arab and he is very popular in Denmark.
Oh, should I have written Lacy is a “White Crack Head” instead? Would that be better to you? To me Lacy looks black, but maybe you see him as green, yellow, red, white or what ever? Where is the Racism?

I mean I like white fighters too, I’m a white guy, I know there is a teeny bit of racism in everyone I’ve made the point that “What would the world be like if everyone felt inferior?”…racism is only bad once it takes rights away from people and leads to physical harm other than that it’s just like nationalism.
That being said I like black fighters too, I like asian fighters, I like hispanic fighters, etc. I don’t limit my likes because of color…and there are some white fighters I hate, ie Paulie Malinaggi and Nicolay Valuev.
My point is ease up on the emphasis of color…it’s not THAT big a deal
