Alright everyone? Im getting a heavy bag soon and was just checking a few things before I buy it. Do you think 5lbs would be a good weight for a beginner starting out? and also does it matter if I use boxing gloves on the bag or do you think I would have to use bag gloves, I am 14 and weigh about 9 stone. Please post your suggestions asap. Thanks. Karlos

5 feet is fine, and I’d get about 100lbs or more. I’d prefer bag gloves on the bag (with boxing gloves, you can’t hit the bag as well, although you can buy weighted bag gloves if you’d like).
Honestly Vodka, weighted gloves are a waste really… just go for a good pair of 16oz bag gloves.
Weighted bag gloves are supposed to be like regular boxing gloves (same weight), only they’re designed for hitting the bag, not people.
is there a diff b/w bag gloves and training gloves?
