Well Hilmer Kenty was the Kronk’s (Steward’s) first alphabet champ, he lost to Sean O’Grady in April 1981, four years before Hearns lost to Hagler, and five months before Tommy lost to Ray Leonard, in their Welterweight unification fight in September 1981.

I think his question is for a fighter that was already established and Steward trained for the first time for a title fight, there has been a lot of them, Aron Pryor, Delahoya, Holyfield, Lennox Lewis to just name a few. Kenty, Hearns, Milton McCrory, Duane Johnson, Oba Carr ? , these are all fighters that Steward guided to world championships from the beginning. If that is the question, I don’t know the answer.
