The Margarito fighting not coming off has nothing to do with Cotto and camp. The fight was all but signed, but Margarito decided to take on his mando Paul Williams instead. Hence the fact that Bob Arum is fighting that fight, because he didn’t pursue the purse bid because according to him. Both Margarito and his manager told him not to worry about the purse bid because they would take the fight with Cotto.
Urkal, even though I do not like the fight, I can understand why it’s happening. Cotto wants to keep the belt and in order to keep it he must fight his mando. If Cotto does prove that he will be alot more improved now that he is not weight drain, why would people fight him if their is no incentive. Also fighting Margarito and Mosley would be part of unifying the WW division. Cintron is still out there, but with his management problems. Who knows when he will fight again.
As far as Zab(former undisputed WW Champion), he is still a top 5 WW. He is still young and is a fast, strong southpaw. Because of his speed, it is a good test escpecially if an opportunity to fight Mayweather comes up. Zab when focused can give any WW a run for their money. And coming off a year suspension of not making any money and an embarrising year before that, you can count he will be up for this fight. And though I hate that it’s on PPV, this fight will sell well.
So I don’t understand this ALLEGEDLY comment. However, I did notice you didn’t say anything about the possibility of him facing Mosley.
