Best fighter? RJJ, Benn or Eubank?

This poll is on here to clear up an argument im having with DD.
I think RJJ was the best of the 3 and im sure most of u guys do 2.

this post should never have been put up. jones at middle was the best ever

I was a fan of Benn & being English I would want he & Eubank to win in a fight with RJJ but you have to realistic.

These are not easy fights for RJJ but fights he should win. Benn’s defence was suspect & Eubank could’nt fight going forwards.

Eubank kicked benn ass so been would rank in 3rd there

Jones was better than both combined and you could also throw in Steve Collins as well to make it a tri-fecta!

RJJ EASY…so Eubank beat up on RJJ in the 80’s when Roy was a little kid, WOW but let us see how he does vs the RJJ who knocked down Toney or KO’d Montel Griffin in 1…Benn might have put on some pressure but come on, RJJ was a masterful counter puncher and would pick him apart

i voted for eubank - but it was close between him and rjj

I kno ill never change ure mind but please look at this poll DD. Even british fans who love benn and eubank hav voted for rjj cos they are realists and hav a sound knowledge of boxing.
RJJ was better than Benn and Eubank and didnt duck them anymore than they did him

That’s the truth.

Roy Jones Junior was nearly unbeatable in the mid to late 90’s. Probably the fastest boxer who ever lived. He dominated people more than any other boxer I have ever watched.

We Honestly will never know cause RJJ ducked him Lyle
FACT

Eubank was the best. I think American fans have a overhyped opinion of Jones because of his mostly substandard opposition and the massively biased and spinned media coverage of American fighters.

Best fighter - Benn

Best Boxer - RJJ

I believe Eubank was the best, Jones’ fundamentals were absolutely awful in all honesty. Eubank’s fundamentals weren’t the best either because he had his own style, and Benn always lacked concentration, but I just feel that Eubank was the most fluid boxer of the three and didn’t rely on natural reflexes(Jones) or punching power(Benn). Plus Eubank could clear his head quicker than both of them and Pre-Watson he was the best finisher.

I’d say the 1994 Jones would have rocked Eubanks…

Eubanks lost to Steve Collins in 95… RJJ would have outboxed Collins back then.

He was simply too fast at Middleweight.

And RJJ didn’t duck Benn. He was moving up to Light Heavyweight in 96, it was part of his career plan. He would have beaten Nigel after the McClellan fight, no question-- Benn was a diminished fighter after Mc knocked him through the ropes in round 1 (the ref gives a slow count, watch the tape), and knocked down again in the 8th. Brutal fights like that take their toll on boxers.

I’d predict a UD for Jones against Eubanks in 94-95, or possibly a late round TKO.

I disagree with everything you say.

There is nothing impressive in Eubank & Benns record’s. Did they have great fights? Yes. But nothing other boxers have done. RJJ record on the other hand speaks for itself. I’m sure either Eubanks & Benn would have gotten a shot in their but nothing major. What other boxer you know can put both of his hands behind his back make you miss and counter punch your a$$ out. One thing I do question tho’ is the opponent’s he fought not top quality during his reign as the king.

Eubank used to do all of those showman things in his early career, way before Jones Jr used to do them.

At 160, or 168 Jones wouldn’t have just outboxed both men, he would have knocked each guy out! Too bad when Jones became the man, neither Benn, nor Eubank would leave Europe to fight, Benn wouldn’t even leave England!

Is RJJ the first boxer to have 7 titles in single division?

WBC Light Heavyweight Title
IBF Light Heavyweight Title
WBA Light Heavyweight Title
IBO Light Heavyweight Title
WBF Light Heavyweight Title
IBA Light Heavyweight Title
NBA Light Heavyweight Title

I would say so, but I don’t put any stock in the alphabet titles…hell, Eubank never was a legit champion!
