## **Ben Whittaker (12-0-1) will take a giant leap towards a world title if he can overcome Conor Wallace (17-1) in his next outing.** The pair are set to square off in an IBF light heavyweight final eliminator bout to determine the mandatory contender for unified [WBA, IBF and WBO champion] Whilst the winner secures a No.1 ranking with the IBF, it is unlikely they will land a shot at Bivol any time soon. [As was first reported by talkSPORT.com, Whittaker will face Wallace on October 3](https://talksport.com/boxing/4415999/ben-whittaker-advanced-negotiations-world-title-eliminator-conor-wallace/) at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham.
