The offer included a $3 million payday for Peter to fight the winner so I dont think he was gonna hand the belt back.
It’s part principle, but I also think in the long run if Peter believes in himslef he will make the bigger money down the road by taking this route.
Still, for a guy who has never seen close to 7 figures, it shows a lot of integrity.
