If hattons wins, will cotto be his last ultimate test?

i think Hatton would beat Cotto given time to grow into the new weight.

Don’t see that happening. I see Cotto stopping Hatton. At 140, Hatton might have had a slight advantage but at 147 Cotto has all the advantages.

I can’t disagree with that - Cotto’s looked much more solid at 147.

Rick’s said all along he’d be choosy at that weight due to size disadvantages - Floyd’s no bigger than him, Oscar would probably be weight drained to an extent so may be an option but Rick should forget Margarito, Williams, Cintron and Cotto IMO.

Well, wouldn’t Rick have the same physical attributes to fight Cotto, as he did at 140.

Given time to grow into the weight, if he’s put extra muscle on correctly after the PBF fight, i see no reason why a Cotto fight can’t be made. I can understand fighting the likes of Margarito and Williams… but Cotto seems fairly reasonable, IMO.

I know Cotto has turned into a big Welterweight but Ricky still has a chance at a crack at him.

Rick’s style relies on him outmuscling opponents though doesn’t it - he simply loses that advantage at 147.

Ricky isn’t all about outmuscling opponents.

He’s more than that.

It’s a risk going in against a fighter stronger than you, but you’ve got to expect Ricky to take that risk if he wants to be p4p number one and prove his greatness - take on all challenges. You can’t go round fighting smaller people than you all the time ???
